The MIDC police have detained a 42-year-old man for allegedly engaging in a sexual act with a female stray dog near Hanuman Mandir in Andheri East. The incident occurred around 12.05 am on Thursday near a pipeline in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar.
Night incident
The matter came to light after a 32-year-old local woman — who works as a surgical head assistant at a Vile Parle East clinic — spotted the act while out feeding neighbourhood strays after dinner.
She told the police, "I regularly feed stray animals in the neighbourhood after dinner. On Thursday night, I spotted the accused engaging in a sexual act with a female dog."
Video evidence
The complainant discreetly recorded the act on her mobile phone, then returned home to inform her family. She then approached the MIDC police station and submitted the video evidence to lodge an official complaint.
