Created by Rensil D’Silva and Siddharth P Malhotra, the series marks D’Silva’s directorial outing with Netflix and Chopra’s series debut. Backed by Alchemy Films, Shaque: Trust No One promises to combine an emotional story of motherhood with a layered mystery, where trust becomes increasingly difficult to hold on to.

The central character has spent nine years searching for her missing child. Her determination to find answers eventually leads her into a maze of secrets and complicated relationships, forcing her to question whether those she has relied on all along may be hiding something.
The series brings together a sizeable ensemble, with Chopra joined by Soni Razdan, Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harleen Sethi, Anup Soni, Dhruv Chowdhary and Sumeet Vyas. With so many characters surrounding the central mystery, the series appears to keep the question of who can be trusted deliberately blurred.
For Chopra, the project marks an important shift as she takes on her first series role. The actor has previously explored varied characters on the big screen, and Shaque places her at the centre of a story driven by grief, determination and unanswered questions.
