After getting eliminated from Amazon Prime Video's Alliance, Vanshaj Singh has opened up about his journey on the reality show. In an exclusive conversation, he spoke about refusing to play out of fear, the alliances formed inside the house, allegations of age-shaming co-contestants Arslan Goni and Kushal Tandon, and his take on the latter's alleged threats.
Vanshaj Singh on his early exit
After veteran actor Ravi Kishan's elimination, Vanshaj Singh became the next contestant to exit The Alliance. Reflecting on his journey, he said he entered the show with a fighter's mindset and refused to play under fear or pressure.
"I told myself that I'm not going to play under anyone or out of fear. If someone threatens to throw me out of the show unless I make an alliance with them, I won't listen. I'll play with my alliances and trust my people," he said.
According to Vanshaj, his independent approach made him a target, with rival contestants allegedly spending an entire night plotting his elimination.
"Some friends from their alliance later told me they had been planning all night to get me out. They kept saying I was half their age, yet they had to strategise so much just to eliminate me. For me, that itself was a victory," he added.
Sharing his views on the game's dynamics, Vanshaj claimed that Arsalan was the real mastermind behind the strategies, while Kushal merely followed others. "Kushal does not have his own strategy or game plan. Whatever Nikhil, Mini, or Arslan say, he follows. He has anger issues; he can't control himself."
Vanshaj also admitted that he felt bad when Payal called him a weak contestant. However, after she explained why she had said it, he understood her perspective.
Vanshaj Singh reacts to allegations of age-shaming Kushal and Arslan
When asked whether he had deliberately tried to make age-related comments on Kushal and Arslan, similar to his equation with Karan Patel on The 50, Vanshaj denied the allegation. He said there was no such intention and claimed he had entered the show with a friendly approach towards everyone.
"If there is such a perception, then it is very wrong. I was being nice to every single one when I entered the show. I genuinely asked them how long they had been friends. They replied, 'We've been friends since you were young.' So I simply asked, 'Since I was young? Then how old are you?' After that, he told me that I had an issue with age. His attitude was quite uncalled for," he said.
Vanshaj further claimed that Kushal had formed a preconceived opinion about him even before entering the show.
"If Kushal says he doesn't know me, then why was he talking about me in his day one video? He came in with a preconceived notion that I would take revenge for what happened with Karan Patel. But he has no idea what actually happened between Karan Patel and me. He should have the brains to understand that," he added.
Vanshaj Singh reacts to Kushal's threats on The Alliance
Reacting to Kushal allegedly threatening to beat him during the show, Vanshaj said the outburst reflected his co-contestant's fragile ego.
"This shows how fragile his ego is. He can threaten to kill you all day long, but those are just threats. A person resorts to abusing and threatening others when they do not have any argument," Vanshaj said.
He also alleged that the game was tilted in favour of contestants from the television industry.
"Let's say ten people from the TV industry enter the show. Even if they don't know each other, they will still play together. Similarly, if ten creators had come, we would have played together too. So, in that sense, the game was unfair for us," he added.
