The winners of the first season of the reality series The Traitors have been revealed. The final episode of the Karan Johar-hosted show The Traitors dropped on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday. After weeks of suspense, the show unveiled Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther as the winners.
What happened in the finale episode of The Traitors?
In the final episode, Uorfi and Nikita voted out fellow innocent Sudhanshu Pandey, as well as traitors Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. The episode began with the Circle of Shaq, where promising contestant Apoorva Mukhija was eliminated. Then, the traitors murdered Jasmin Bhasin.
The top five contestants who walked into the finale round were Uorfi, Nikita, Sudhanshu, Purav, and Harsh.
Purav and Harsh made the mistake of discussing their plans in the billiard room, which Uorfi overheard. During the final Circle of Shaq, Uorfi pointed out Purav as the traitor, leading to his elimination. After this, Uorfi and Nikita teamed up to vote the remaining traitors out in the finale. Their unity worked in their favor, and they emerged as winners.
What do the winners get?
Uorfi and Nikita won a total prize amount of Rs 70,05,000. The prize money was split between the two.
Nikita was elated to be the winner, especially since she was made to leave the show on Day 1—before she could even enter the palace. However, two episodes later, she made a stellar comeback. Uorfi, on the other hand, could not believe that she had won the show as an innocent. She said the victory was a response to all those who doubted her from the beginning.
How The Traitors is played
Twenty players gather in a majestic palace, unaware that hidden among them are secret Traitors chosen by the host. These Traitors have one mission—to sabotage the group and eliminate the Innocents one by one, all while keeping their identities concealed.
During the day, the players work together to complete missions and build a massive prize pot. But by night, the Traitors strike in secret, “murdering” one innocent at a time. Each episode ends with a tense round-table discussion where the players vote to eliminate someone they suspect of being a Traitor—but are they making the right choice, or falling into the Traitors’ trap?
If the Innocents manage to unmask all the Traitors, they share the prize. But if even one Traitor remains undetected, that player takes it all.
