A Congress MLA from Jharkhand has promised to construct roads in his constituency, Jamtara, smoother than the cheeks of Kangana Ranaut. In a self-recorded video, Irfan Ansari says, “Construction of 14 world-class roads will begin soon. I assure you that they will be smoother than the cheeks of Kangana Ranaut.” Ansari faced a lot of flak for his comments, and the actor is yet to react. Almost two decades ago, Lalu Prasad Yadav had promised to make Bihar’s streets as smooth as Hema Malini’s cheeks. Last November, Rajasthan minister Rajendra Singh Gudha had sparked outrage after his remarks comparing the state’s roads to Katrina Kaif’s cheeks. In December, Maharashtra minister Gulabrao Patil apologised for likening the roads in his constituency, Jalgaon, to Hema Malini’s cheeks. The veteran actor had reportedly said, “Such comments are not in good taste.”

Sara Ali Khan’s mom Amrita Singh often accompanies her to outdoor locations. Khan is shooting for Laxman Utekar’s untitled film in Madhya Pradesh. On Saturday, the mother and daughter visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. The two regularly visit religious places in the vicinity of the sets.

Pray for Lata’s recovery
Lata Mangeshkar continues to remain under observation in the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital, the doctor treating the legendary singer said on Saturday. “We have to wait and watch. Pray for her recovery. She will remain in the hospital,” Dr Pratit Samdani reportedly said. Mangeshkar, 92, was hospitalised after she contracted the virus.
Taking the booster shots
Shakti Kapoor and Dharmendra have received the COVID-19 booster shot, an additional dose of the vaccine as a precautionary measure. Health and frontline workers and people above the age of 60 are currently eligible to take the jab. The veteran actors shared the news on social media and “humbly requested” all those eligible to avail of it as soon as possible.

Karishma Tanna has confirmed the buzz that she will tie knot with businessman fiancé Varun Bangera on February 5. During a recent outing, when the paparazzi asked her about her wedding, she showed her five fingers to indicate the date. Last November, the couple got engaged in a low-key ceremony. Tanna had dropped a hint by posting a photograph of a cake with ‘congratulations’ written on it.
